​This event will end at approximately 2.00pm. There will be no interval.
Admission free and unticketed.
There will be a retiring collection with a minimum suggested donation of £5, to support the education and outreach work of the festival.


The programme will be announced during the concert.

The annual May Walley Award for Musical Excellence will be presented to a musician who shows outstanding potential.

Invited local primary schools come along to a singing workshop, led by renowned singer and conductor Simon Berridge.

National Youth Chamber Choir

This event will end at approximately 9.15pm. Refreshments available during the interval.

The National Youth Chamber Choir comprises 24 outstanding young singers. Their members are aged 18-25 and are typically studying music performance, or are at the start of the professional singing careers. They have appeared at the BBC Proms and performed on BBC Radio 3's In Tune. We are delighted to welcome this elite choir to Penkhull this year, conducted by former Artistic Director, Greg Hallam.

Artistic Festival Finale
Trent Art Gallery

This event will end at approximately 4.30pm
Admission free and unticketed.

Come and join us at Trent Art for a reception to celebrate the end of the festival. Drinks and refreshments will be served.

"Trent Art specialises in original paintings and works on paper by a wide range of Modern British Artists with the emphasis being on quality.  We are proud to offer an extensive collection of desirable British Art.

Works can be viewed Monday to Saturday in our beautiful Gallery at 19 Brunswick Street, Newcastle, Staffs, ST5 1HF with free parking outside to the front and side of the Gallery."
